Ukrainian manufacturer Tihon presents a highly effective flash hider for the Kalashnikov machine gun!

PKM (or “Pokémon”) is a reliable and versatile machine gun with belt feeding, chambered for 7.62×54R. One of the main drawbacks of the PK is the excessive muzzle flash during firing, which can reveal the shooter’s position or even blind them in low-light conditions. To avoid these problems, a special muzzle attachment is installed on the machine gun to conceal the flash.

What is a Flash Hider?

A flash hider is a device that mounts on the muzzle thread of a firearm to reduce the visible flash produced by a shot. The muzzle flash occurs due to the ignition of gunpowder gases escaping from the barrel, creating a bright and loud burst of light and sound. The design of the device reduces the speed of these gases and disperses them in different directions, decreasing the intensity and direction of the flash. Additionally, flash hiders can also reduce felt recoil, thereby improving the accuracy of the firearm.

The Tihon Flash Hider is made from weapon-grade steel. It is suitable for all Kalashnikov machine gun variants with an M18x1.5L thread and chambered for 7.62×54R. An interchangeable cone is included in the package. The small weight and compact size of the device make it unnoticeable on the heavy machine gun.
