The Tihon Picatinny Rail is a precision mounting system designed specifically for Tihon AR M-LOK handguards. It offers mounting options for a wide range of accessories, including sights (optical, red-dot, etc.), tactical flashlights, laser pointers, and bipods.

The Picatinny system is designed for backward compatibility with Weaver accessories, making it a versatile choice for those who already have a collection of Weaver accessories. The military standard MIL-STD-1913, developed and published by the U.S. Picatinny Arsenal, is used in NATO countries under the STANAG 4694 agreement.

Why is the Right Rail Important?

The guide system is a crucial component that connects the carbine and the optical sight. Our rail ensures reliable and precise mounting of aiming devices. A team of developers, who standardized the Weaver rail design in the early 1980s, measured about 20 different Weaver rails and averaged a set of numbers placed on the surface at a 45-degree angle.

The only difference between the Picatinny and Weaver rails is the size of the grooves. Many modern tactical accessories and sights can be used on both types of rails. However, it’s important to note that all accessories designed for the Weaver rail fit the Picatinny rail, but not the other way around.
